NEW BLOGS This month I managed some new posted on my wordpress (it is where I express my opinion, or release my thoughts in poems). I have been focused on a literature review, and this prompted two posts looking at the language of [birth plans]: want a positive birth? say please diplomacy politeness and the underlying threat and into the sexism that seems apparent in childbirth: sexist snow clearing And I reviewed a podcast...which suggested the [birth plan] is no [birth plan].: the best plan is no plan - or is it? You'll also notice [birth plan]....the literature is overwhelmingly showing that the problem is the term plan. The suggestions of 'preferences' and 'wishes', 'guide', 'statement', 'flow chart' and 'partnership' are among the alternatives....all agreeing that a new term is needed to better explain the intent because birth is "unpredictable".
